Kingsley, MD [FIMG]

“In June 2012, l joined my fiancée in Atlanta Georgia. As a freshly minted FIMG, l was clueless as to the obstacles l was about to experience in my adopted country.

My intuitive fiancée had the foresight to schedule a meeting about a month after my arrival with Mrs. Sharon Ajayi, her God-mother who had lived through this phase several years prior. This casual and informal meeting has been the single most priceless gift.

Mrs. Ajayi, methodically shared her insights and personal experience along with great survival tips and a blue-print for success. She was so authentic and credible so much so that l failed to believe that she wasn't herself a "senior FIMG."

Her wise counsel sustained our marriage, kept me focused in my struggles and throughout the residency training. Four years later, l still apply some of her survival tips. Both in our marriage and professional life.

As a result, my wife and l encouraged her to start this organization: Anchor of Hope, to share her invaluable service with others. Undoubtedly, IMGs will be well served when they listen and apply her wealth of knowledge.

We are forever indebted to her and her organization for her generosity, guidance and beautiful spirit.”

Alvita [FIMG]

“I met the unassuming Mrs. Sharon Ajayi in Georgia through my husband when she sold us our home upon relocating from Tennessee in December 2015. She told me about Anchor of Hope and the services they provide to families in transition including IMGs.

By this time, however, l was still awaiting the results of my USMLE.

After successfully passing my part 1 exams, l was confronted with other challenges for FIMGs namely; externship, observer ship, American clinical skills and letters of recommendation [very essential for applying to residency programs].

With encouragement from my husband, l contacted Mrs. Ajayi for assistance. She promptly took action and lined up two professionals for me to check out if we are a good fit.

She continues to monitor and access my progress; often encouraging me to hang tight. Her passion comes across through her dedication to serve IMGs.

It is my sincere hope that someday soon, Anchor of Hope will gain national attention.

Thank you Mrs. Ajayi and Anchor of Hope.”

K. Lamak [Program Foster Hope — (2017)]

“I am an international student studying Theology and facing so many financial challenges-tuition and housing. I have been blessed to be a direct beneficiary of the generosity of Anchor of Hope, Inc. I do not have enough words to adequately express my gratitude to this organization. It is my fervent prayer that God will continue to bless them so that they will grow in leaps and bounds. Like Christ, they too can feed multitudes with a single loaf of bread. Amen.”

Esther O. [Program Foster Hope — (2017)]

“My name is Esther O and I just wanted to thank Anchor of Hope, Inc for donating to my education abroad fund. Their generosity helped to further my goal which will help me attend a study abroad trip this July in Paris, France. I am so grateful for the opportunity that God presented to me and I am also grateful for the people that have been so wonderful as to help me. I pray that God sees their generosity and reward them tenfold.”
